Praying through the Psalms continued…

Psalm 7:9 O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.

Dear Lord, I thank you that you alone know the minds and hearts of all the people that you have created.  I thank you that someday you promise to bring an end to all violence in your kingdom!  Thank you that you are a righteous and just God who deals rightly with people because you know their mind and heart!

Psalm 8:3-4 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

Lord, I thank you that you care for me and that you are a relational God who loves people. I praise you that you made such a beautiful creation which shows your glory, and also that you are willing to be involved in that creation, and to be in relationship with the people that you’ve made!

Psalm 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

That is really good news, Lord!  Thank you for being trustworthy.  Help me to remember how you have been faithful to me, and to others, and that that would encourage me in my faith.  Also, please help me to remember to continue seeking to know you more.

Amen
